MathNED is putting together a national
strategy to rekindle interest in mathematics for both
mathematics teachers and students. Initially, selected MAG
members will be provided with professional upgrading in
mathematics content and pedagogy.
This will be followed by extending the program to all MAG
members and then finally to all those who teach mathematics
in both public and private pre-tertiary institutions
The eventual beneficiaries will be the students of these
teachers and the nation at large. There are other programs,
some which will be running simultaneously, while others run
in phases as illustrated below.
